We arrived in Margao late afternoon on Saturday 21 December

Our first trip to Benaulin beach was on Christmas Eve

prawns chilli fry in a rich tomato & onion gravy with a local Goa King's beer, before setting off for a swim at our favourite beach

Christmas Day in Margao

Whole roast turkey   sausage roll
Few Indians have ovens in their homes, so Longuinhos does a good trade in takeaways of whole roast turkeys &
suckling pigs for local families / Light lunch of pastry filled with the delicious Goan special spicy pork sausages,
which are similar to the Iberian chorizo/chouriço introduced to Goa during Portuguese rule (1510 - 1961 CE)
