KITCHEN TIMELINE:
7 April Initial visit by Kitchen Designer - design to be submitted but 60 year old house fuse box must be replaced
15 April Visit by Council inspector about possible rewiring grant - no grant available
21 April Visit by builder to quote for possible extension - we decide against it
22 April Visit by electrician - won't touch the job unless entire house rewired
28 May Complete house rewiring begins (no house lighting for entire period)
14 June Rewiring completed
25 June Visit by Kitchen Designer - design modified and agreed and units ordered
6 August Work starts on kitchen (no sink or cooker until 29 August)
Late August Sheila and Jade redecorate kitchen
30/31 August Flooring replaced
3 September Kitchen Designer applies the finishing touches - the saga ends!
